How to treat bridging transactions

For example, let’s take a case when I transfer MATIC from Ethereum to Polygon and the wallet address and amount of MATIC are the same, only chain has changed.

How do you think, is it the same MATIC that I transfer between wallets, or is it trade between ETH-MATIC and original MATIC?

Good question. I have been marking them as “transfers” and just putting what each token is, so leaving MATIC as MATIC and USDC as USDC, but if I transferred ETH over it would show up as WETH so that I would consider a “trade” from but the receiving wallet was also my Polygon wallet instead of my ETH wallet.
